The Take

The Hanover Park Hornets coming into the 2021 season with a lot of high hopes. Although they lost a lot of talent to graduation from a season ago, the Hornets are still packed with talent including running back Mike Filippone who had a great year last season rushing for just shy of a thousand yards in six games and is slated to be one of the best backs in the state this year. Other returning stars include receiver Brett Behre who is coming off of a 25 catch almost 400 yard season in the shortened season , and senior linebacker Paul Cosentino who racked up 80 tackles a season ago.  The Hornets have all the ingredients for a postseason run and facing season opponents Verona, Morris Catholic, Ramsey, and Mountain Lakes will certainly make them battle tested.  Playing a tough schedule will only help them when they face Group II power houses like Newton and Rutherford.
