TEAM GOAL

To compete each week. If we find a way to compete we can find a way to be successful. We want teams to say that the Wildcats were the toughest team they faced all year.

COACH’S QUOTE ABOUT 2021

"We have a great core of seniors, who have worked hard the day they put the wildcat uniform on. Many of them had to start as freshmen (8 of them) and for the past season have struggled to produce only one win, but they never stopped working hard and finally feel that the hard work will pay off. Our younger players need to be role players helping the team each week to prepare and fill in spots on special teams. We hope that if more players step up we can get more players on the field and hopefully play players one way so we are healthy and can compete hard in the fourth quarter. Excited about our team's numbers. We have almost 70 players out for a group 1 school with 20 freshmen coming out this season. Our success will come from our senior leadership and who they are willing to hold accountable for their actions in practices and in games. Commitment is what makes you successful and we need the seniors to make sure everyone is committed to the program, teammates and coaches. If they can do this then the Wildcats can have a great successful season."

THE TAKE

If you are a Whippany Park fan, make sure you have your season tickets because it's all coming together for the Wildcats. Hunter Morgenroth is the keystone of this team, joined by reigning tackler Teddy Ciamillo and top receiver Max Oswald.   Whippany had taken their lumps in recent years with younger players filling in varsity spots but now those same players are veterans with lots of experience and a chip on their shoulder.  All indications point to the Wildcats managing their schedule just fine.  Games against Pequannock, Boonton and Wallkill will be good litmus tests of how this team will fare in the Second Season.
